  • 5/5 from Kara Fogg, attended Jan 2024: We had such a wonderful time in the Sculpting for Beginners course today. It was a really great group and Alexander is a fantastic and very patient teacher (not to mention ridiculously skilled). It's such a lovely, calm setting too. So relaxing! All the tools and material we needed were provided and they were easy to get the hang of, even for a complete novice. The pace of the day felt just right. I loved how our sculptures evolved during the session and how easy it was to shift in a different direction. I'd love to keep sculpting and I feel confident that the class has given me the basic skills to continue at home (it's all about the sphere!). I enjoyed it so much that I might even do another ClassBento course or two along the way. I think it was excellent value and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's been thinking of giving sculpting a go

The space is full of light, plants and inspiration and there’s more than sufficient work areas, equipment and materials provided. We had a fantastic day learning various techniques from Alex and came away with a much better understanding of clay modelling. The instructions were well paced and full of interesting ideas and applications, handy tips and extra advice. We had a small friendly group that creatively challenged and encouraged each other as we all worked away on our projects. It was nice too to be able to leave with a sculpture at the end of the day. Having attended other classes with Work-Shop previously, I would not hesitate to recommend. Can’t wait for the next one!
  • 5/5 from Dee Granados, attended Apr 2023: This was the first time I've done this and the class was so much fun. All the materials were provided and went home with a finished piece. Alex was a great instructor. Easy to follow instructions and he made us feel in a comfortable and safe space, judgment-free. The group was fun to work with and seeing what everyone created was inspiring too. Alex managed to look at the class as a whole but also spent time supporting individual projects. I never felt rushed to do anything and managed to complete my piece by the end of the day. The venue was full of natural light which I found important. Make sure you bring some food as shops around the area are closed on Sunday. I gained a great foundation to explore further sculpting with clay and I am looking to do this class in the future again.
  • 5/5 from Anna Hedstrom, attended Feb 2023: Really nice, relaxed environment and Alex had a very clear instruction style that helped to achieve more than I thought possible. Definitley recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from Cherie Ross, attended Feb 2023: A really enjoyable day with Alex. The pace was relaxing and the outcome surprisingly good! Alex’s gentle guidance had me create something I didn’t expect I would achieve in a beginners class. I now have the fundamentals to build on and as Alex said many times over … start with a sphere! And he was right (of course) it was so much easier to start every piece of the puzzle with a sphere and build something I was happy with. Cherie
  • 5/5 from Andrea Riddell, attended Feb 2023: Alex was great! He was able to break down each component of the sculpture into very digestible segments. We didn’t feel rushed and had enough one-on-one attention
  • 5/5 from Suzanne Alexander, attended Feb 2023: Teacher was great, venue was clean and easily accessible. The class was exactly as advertised. I’m very happy
  • 5/5 from Larissa Miller, attended Jan 2023: Impressed and absolutely loved it. Alexander was warm, attentive great at explaining. We all had a good sculptures. Place is ex industrial and also was stylish
  • 5/5 from Michael Clague, attended Jan 2023: Alessandro is amazing. Knows anatomy. Knows aesthetics. Pushed you just enough. I will be back
  • 5/5 from Asuman Misirli, attended Jan 2023: Teacher is very good. I enjoy being there. I learned basic skills and I am planning to attend to upper level workshop.

Esenarro has been creating sculptures over the past 20 years, he has chosen ceramics as his medium for its unique beauty and strength. His love for the human anatomy and its complexity is expressed through his ceramic sculptures, in which he attempts to incorporate unconscious aspects of the personality that the conscious ego does not identify in itself. He is interested in creating sculptures in which people can feel identified with those harmless characters that live inside the mind.
