Getting started with a simple veggie patch
In our first gardening workshop, we’ll roll up our sleeves and dive into the basics of creating your very own veggie patch. We’ll cover everything from selecting the perfect spot in your yard (think about sunlight, drainage, and accessibility) to choosing the right vegetables that flourish in our unique Blue Mountains climate.
You’ll learn how to create a no-dig garden, and we'll also share tips on soil preparation, ensuring your plants have the nutrients they need to thrive. By the end of this session, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to start your veggie patch with materials that can be found easily and cheaply.
This workshop is part of our 'Just Start Gardening Series' and is supported by the Blue Mountains City Council

I am a permaculture designer and passionate food-grower! I believe the world would be a happier, healthier, more connected place if we brought food production closer to home and re-kindled old skills.
I also focus on home and community resilience for tough times; be that water conservation & re-use, waste into soil-building, food forests, small livestock, and community connection using permaculture design.
I studied with the world-renowned Geoff Lawton for my Permaculture Design Certificate. I gained my Permaculture Teaching Certificate with esteemed permaculture educator Rowe Morrow.
I look forward to sharing knowledge with you!
