Looking for creative things to do in Sydney? Over two hours, in a beautiful art studio in Surry Hills, your teacher, Irina from imakesculptures, will demonstrate how to create textured leaf-shaped plates or platters using clay.
With just a few, simple steps to follow, you will be able to make this perfectly decorative pottery piece for your own home. Classes are very small, limited to 6 people, as the leaves are big and take up space.
You will also have exclusive access to large lotus leaf-shaped moulds, made by your teacher from real and rare leaves so that you can create your own fully functional, large table centrepiece.
small groups, 6 people limit in public class
Please note:
Everything made from ceramic must be fired in ceramic kilns.
In the price is included one (bisque) firing and NO glazing. Large lotus leaf on the pictured has been fired without glaze. Option to add glazing for a small fee (explained in the workshop)
* Studio has one lovely friendly cat that is on the pictures. She really loves observing and being in the class but won’t jump on the table or in your lap.

Hi, I'm Irina.
I like to introduce myself as a sculptor, although I'm engaged in different art disciplines too. I have never had another profession, nor have I wanted one. I fell in love with three-dimensional art at a very early age which came to me naturally, as I was born in a family of artists. It was the world I've grown up in, a measure of value around me.
I have graduated from Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and with a bit of luck, I had a chance to work internationally and gain great experience in different industries and media. Cooperating with professionals from other creative fields has perfectioned my skills and broadened the views of my artistic expression.
I have tried to gather all the projects I am engaged in on this website, showcase it, sell and teach my art. Always open for the new projects with fellow creatives, just get in touch.
