Dianne studied needle felting in Japan while living there for 16 yrs with some of Japanese finest needle felting teachers. Felting became a passion after years of practice. Dianne moved back to Brisbane and opened Wild Woolly Heads taking commissions for miniature replicas of peoples’ dogs, and large interior design trophy heads. Inspiration comes from her dog, garden and travels.

I had a great time in this workshop at Di's house. We learned the basics of armaturing (forming the wire skeleton), then learning how to enclose the armature in core and wool. It was amazing to see our little creation coming to life as we progressed. Di is an excellent teacher, and very patient. Have to mention the refreshments too - homemade cake - the best
I felt the cost of the workshop was quite reasonable, and I came away feeling confident that I could make other characters using the skills I learned.

This is one of my favourite needle felting cushions! I love Australian birds so much everytime I look at this cushion it makes me happy

Yesterday my Son and I did Wild Woolly's fox felting workshop. Dianne is a vibrant and knowledgeable teacher and was more than accommodating, and packed a lot of additional information in the session so you could easily make your own creations at home. The studio was lovely, full of information and covered in inspiration with amazing pieces made by Dianne herself. The materials provided were high quality, and everything you would need to make your own pieces at home is available to buy should you wish to further this beautiful art at home, yet there was no hard sell. I found this class excellent value for money and note there were several people there doing repeat classes, as Dianne offers various workshops, I personally would definitely consider doing another one. Thank you Dianne for a lovely family and personal experience, you are wonderful! And I am delighted at my first attempt at wool felting, my little fox is very cute.

I absolutely loved this kit! I left it a while because I expected it to be hard but the video was great to and straight forward and they ended up being much easier than I thought

Fantastic! I cannot fault this kit
I was super worried as I am a beginner but the fox is printed onto the pillow case (which is brilliant) it really helped guide me
Also the video was great

Lovely afternoon spent with teacher Di who is an amazing artist. The felting class was very informative and you are provided with all the materials and equipment to make your very own felted fox. Beautiful setting in her studio with lots of light and breezes. Will definitely pursue this art form. So much fun.

This was a fun activity to do. As a complete beginner I wasn't sure how fox like my fox would look like but he came out very cute!
For a beginner the instructions are easy to follow and just as importantly the instructions were easy to do.
This is an awesome kit for anyone wanting to give something new a go.
