What you'll do
Looking to learn DIY needle felting? Join our felting class and discover the joy of creating your own wool painting! In this workshop, you will receive a craft kit complete with everything you need to get started, including a pre-recorded video tutorial.
Don't worry if you're a beginner – this class is designed for all skill levels. With guidance from our experienced teacher, Di, you will learn how to needle felt onto printed fabric and create a stunning 2D Sheep wool painting. No artistic skills are needed, as you will be working directly over a printed picture.
During the class, you will have the option to turn your wool painting into a cushion cover or a framed picture. The kit includes enough materials to make one cushion cover. Once you've mastered the technique, you can even create more for your friends and family!

Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly class.
What you'll get in your craft kit
- Tools: Wool mat and 2 x 38 star, 2 x 38 twist high-quality needles, 3 needle multi tool.
- Materials: 45cm x 45cm printed cushion cover, NZ Corriedale wools for painting.
- There may be more work after the workshop if you would like to keep adding detail.

Dianne studied needle felting in Japan while living there for 16 yrs with some of Japanese finest needle felting teachers. Felting became a passion after years of practice. Dianne moved back to Brisbane and opened Wild Woolly Heads taking commissions for miniature replicas of peoples’ dogs, and large interior design trophy heads. Inspiration comes from her dog, garden and travels.
