What you'll do
In this felting class, you'll have the opportunity to try out needle felting and create a beautiful 2D rooster wool painting! This fun craft kit includes a pre-recorded video tutorial with your teacher, Di, guiding you through the process. Don't worry if you don't have any artistic skills because you'll be needle felting over a printed picture, making it easy for beginners to get started.
Throughout the workshop, Di will provide plenty of advice and guidance on needle felting onto printed fabric, allowing you to transform the picture into a cushion cover or a framed artwork. You'll not only learn new needle felting skills and techniques but also get to enjoy the satisfaction of creating something unique and beautiful with your own hands.
This DIY kit will provide you with all the materials needed to make one cushion cover. And once you've mastered the art of needle felting, you can make more creations for your loved ones too. Step into the world of needle felting and let your creative spirit soar with this engaging and enjoyable activity.

- Tools: Wool mats and 2 x 38-star, high-quality needles, and a 3-needle multi-tool.
- Materials: 45cm x 45cm printed cushion cover, NZ Corriedale wools for painting.
- There may be more work after the workshop if you would like to keep adding detail.

Dianne studied needle felting in Japan while living there for 16 yrs with some of Japanese finest needle felting teachers. Felting became a passion after years of practice. Dianne moved back to Brisbane and opened Wild Woolly Heads taking commissions for miniature replicas of peoples’ dogs, and large interior design trophy heads. Inspiration comes from her dog, garden and travels.
