What a wonderful Italian food and cooking experience this class was! Mata, with her exceptional cooking skills, took us all on a beautiful journey to Italy.
We were all welcomed at her beautiful home with a delicious Pappa al Pomodoro, and cheese, prosciutto, olives platter accompanied with great wine of our choice. Then we learned how to make pasta Pici Cacio e Pepe from scratch, Pork Tonato and the most delicious Tiramisù. What a wonderful day it was enjoying great meals that we cooked, great bunch of people and great wine! We were offered to take home the leftover food. Would definitely recommend this class, as well as our chef Mata for all your occasions, who is one of the greatest Italian chefs here! Thank you!

Very good good, I was given the opportunity to jump in with Mata as a birthday gift. She was great, very knowledgeable. The class was perfectly structured to give time on the tools, get 1 on 1 help, talk and socialize, eat and have fun in the process. We cooked three dishes in three hours, all of which came out great. This course was amazing. So easy to do because of all the special tips Marina gave and receiving the items in the post was super exciting and helpful. My husband and I recommend this course. Still can’t decide if we like the crispy gnocchi or the pesto gnocchi better as they are both great. We will never buy shop bought gnocchi ever again. Thank you Marina.

Matilde is an engaging host and teacher who has a clear passion for authentic Italian cooking. Very absorbing three hour cooking lesson which will finish off with a sit down meal of the pastas you made in Marina’s kitchen. We learnt how to make tagliatelle and cannelloni pasta for our two dishes. Marina is a pleasant teacher and she will share some cultural insights from her homeland, Italy. Take home recipes were provided. Tram from the city will take you almost to the doorstep. Make sure you go hungry!

Very happy with the class run by Marina from her home kitchen. Quality ingredients and equipment and Marina is full of information and tips and so hospitable! There were five of us learners, which was a perfect number. We were shown how to make the dough and while it was resting we enjoyed some homemade bruschetta and Prosecco, which was lovely and unexpected! Then we made cannelloni with a simple but delicious spinach and ricotta filling. While that was cooking we made the tagliatelle with asparagus and pea sauce- once again, so simple but stunning results. (Also got to play around with the pasta maker to make spaghetti also, and M showed us how to make papardelle.) Then we enjoyed our food together with Italian rosé. We took home the uncooked pasta that we made and some of the cooked food. I would recommend this class to anyone who appreciates good food and wants to learn the basics of pasta making. I was so surprised at how easy it was and the great result. A huge thank you to Marina for her efforts and the hospitality. I would also recommend it as a gift, since it was gifted to me - the recipient will not be disappointed!

I was greeted by Mata who was extremely welcoming. Mata had an easygoing nature & along with her assistant Rosie, the class flowed wonderfully & nothing was a bother to either of them. We were shown all the steps along the way, laughing & having fun in a relaxed environment all chatting amongst ourselves which made it feel like we were visiting friends, which I must say was lovely. All of the ingredients we used were very fresh, herbs from the backyard garden - homegrown by our chef (can't get any fresher than that). We learned the entire 3-course menu, as well as other side dishes that we enjoyed making & eating along the way. Then we all sat down once everything had been made & ate our meal together, sharing stories, chatting, laughing, & eating the delicious meals we made together along with a cheeky glass or two of red or white wine, which I must say was a nice treat as well. The class was a 10/10 experience, the company, hospitality, venue, instructions/tips/tools, we even got to take home leftovers & our very own dish of Tiramisu. I will be back again ladies, thank you for opening your home to us. I feel blessed.

This class was wonderful, the teacher was very patient & friendly. The venue was great & it being Marina's home it had a lovely homely feel to it. The materials were all provided & they were all of great quality. The experience was exceptional value for money. I learned different little tips & tricks from a very experienced cook. I loved being around others who loved cooking, learning & eating authentic Italian food. The best part was sitting down all together at the end of the class & enjoying a meal together with a glass of wine, chatting & laughing together. Thank you, Marina, I will be back.

Lovely, intimate class with a sudden, surprise fill in teacher (sorry I missed your name).
I was a bit confused by different recipes being sent with different quantities and updated info, so my second batch was a bit soggy as I had done more prep than needed before the class, but the teacher adapted to everyone in the class. Overall, a really good class. Thank you

Marina’s class was quite splendid. My girlfriend and I had learnt how to properly make pasta, including all the tips you don’t get in a recipe book. We now understand the how and why of pasta making. This is great for novice pasta makers. Highly recommend. We also learnt how to make ragu in a way that blew my mind! Who would have thought there was a better way to do it - thanks chef Matilde for the great tips. It was fun learning in a small group and we all got to make our own pasta and take home the leftovers!

Marina is a warm, friendly, experienced teacher, who explains every step at a pace you are able to keep up with. Matilde is an extremely knowledgeable chef & a great teacher who is very passionate about what she does. We had the freshest of ingredients, & the best tools to assist with the job of pasta making, we enjoyed a glass of wine whilst our pasta was resting, along with roasted capsicum on bruschetta & prosciutto on bruschetta - which was divine. Was hosted in Marina's home which made it an authentic Italian feel & a lot of love in the room. The experience was a very relaxing, fun, & interactive way to spend a Sunday afternoon & the other people I met were all friendly & had the same love of food that I did & were excited to be there making pasta. We all sat down together to enjoy the pasta dishes we made together at the end of the class, one word - Bellissimo. I came away excited with the knowledge I could make it again at home for my loved ones. We left with goodie bags which was a lovely surprise. The class was exceptional value for money. Thank you again, I will be back for another class in the near future.

This course is incredible value. Both teachers are so knowledgeable, I learnt so much including why my sage was never crispy when I tried brown butter sauces. The pasta we made was so beautiful and homely, I was taught everything I need to feel confident practicing on my family. The venue was perfect too: just the right size to fit our group and so nice to be welcomed into someone's home. We not only got a massive feed from the beautiful ingredients but also got a lovely take-home goodie bag! Highly recommend!

Class environment in home made it a great experience. You could imagine making the pasta in your own home. Teacher very helpful, practical pointers, and hands on work. A great range of pasta. The class interacted and helped each other. The food we prepared was cooked and presented as in ones own home, along with snacks and wine through out the day. More like a family gathering than individuals learning. Highly recommend this class and teacher and assistant.

Matilde and Rosie welcomed us into their home and guided us through a three course menu. Pork Tonnato, Pici Cacio e Pepe which is a hand rolled pasta made from flour, egg and water with cheese and pepper sauce and to finish the classic tiramisu. We were also served toasted bread with squid ink salami and kohlrabi, a hazelnut, Parmesan, rocket and lettuce salad and also an additional dessert rice fritters with persimmon topped with citrus. Washed down with a good drop of red or white wine. Divine. Such a beautiful way to spend Sunday.

She created a lovely relaxed environment to learn and both she and Mathilde (chef in charge of sauces) were full of knowledge. Marina asked me why I had come to the class. My answer was to learn from a professional and I wasn't disappointed. Marina is a great teacher and gave everyone special tips at each person's individual experience level.
It was wonderful that there was more to the class than simply making the pasta.

Marina and her helper (a qualified chef - apologises l forgot her name) were both very friendly, helping out when needed. We were treated to some Bruschetta, wine and traditional coffee.
Each person had their own cooking station to make the pasta and we went at a pace that everyone was comfortable at and could enjoy.
We were shown how to make the filling for the spinach and ricotta tortellini and the mushroom sauce for the tagliatelle.
Afterwards, we sat around the table like a traditional Italian family and enjoyed our pasta.
We were given the opportunity to take home leftover.
I would highly recommend doing a class with Marina as she is thorough and made the class fun. She answered any questions that we had.
Thank you Marina and chef for a great day. I would definitely be looking out for future courses that you hold.

I loved this class, it reminded me of when i cooked with my Nonna when i was young so it was really nostalgic for me. Marina gave some great tips throughout the class and the class was small enough to allow Marina to check in regularly with each person to make sure we were all on track. Would recommend this class and will be booking another.

Marina and her offsider were both brilliant! Such amazing hosts and so helpful in sharing their knowledge and experience of all things pasta and Italian culture in general. The teaching was entirely hands on with expert help along the way! The menu and range of pasta techniques really gave a good overview and helped us gain confidence that we could use our skills at home. We loved every minute. All guests were lovely, the bruscetta and wine were added bonuses and we had a fabulous day. Highly recommend!

This made it very easy and we all had our cameras pointing @ the workbench where the food was being prepared.

Marina is so lovely and welcoming. We are invited to her home to prepare the most incredible pasta from tagliatelle to ravioli to tortellini. From spinach and ricotta to roast mushrooms and ricotta to pork beef mortadella prosciutto Parmesan fillings. The pasta is then cooked in simple but delicious sauces, think brown butter and sage, cream and Parmesan, pork and peas. Afterwards, we sit together for lunch and feast on our hard work. Fabulous way to spend the weekend. In addition, I had to reschedule last minute one time and Marina couldn’t have been more understanding. Thank you!

The Make Tiramisu and Espresso at Home online video class was wonderful as I learnt how to use the old-fashioned coffee maker and the teacher provided a good quality Italian sweet wine (first time trying) which was expensive at retail price. I enjoyed learning how to make the Italian dessert cake.

Loved this class! I organised to do with this with family spread out across locked down borders and absolutely loved it. not only did we get to learn how to make awesome gnocchi, but it was also a really great way to spend an afternoon together, even though we're all apart. Marina was a very attentive teacher, and took time to answer everyone's questions. the gnnochi turned out just how i liked it, super soft in the middle and crispy on the outside! it was a lot easier to make than i thought, and she took time to explain why we did each step. Loved it, and would definitely do her classes again.

Marina is very passionate about making Gnocchi and took time to give everybody individual feedback. I got some good tips and certainly feel like I would be confident enough to make Gnocchi by myself next time. In the kit we received a Gnocchi board and the recipe for the Gnocchi and two accompanying sauces. I bought all the ingredients, but we didn't make the second sauce during the class~ so maybe just check with Marina beforehand about what ingredients you need to buy.

A great pasta making experience and fun way to celebrate a lockdown Birthday via Zoom with the lovely Marina Totta. We had an enjoyable afternoon and
we learned lots of new pasta making skills and made a delicious dinner.
I highly recommend this experience.

Marina was a great teacher! She was very informative and helpful. She adapted to our utensils and was very patient when our pasta machine almost broke halfway through. The pasta making made very little mess and was a lot easier and straight forward than we thought, especially with Marina's expert advice. The sauce and pasta we made was delicious, and we would definitely recommend this class to others who are interested in trying pasta making.

Marina was a great teacher. She was constantly checking how each of us were doing and helping us when needed. Materials provided were also of good quality. Definitely good value for the money as I got to make my own pasta, eat it in a dish and enjoy the company of the class.

My partner and I attended three of Marina's classes and we had so much fun! Marina was very lovely, friendly and patient. The classes were small and personal. We particularly enjoyed having a class at Marina's house and meeting her family as well. We've definitely learned skills to use for pasta making at home. I could not recommend her classes more

Marina was a joy. A great teacher. And very patient. She is super communicative and very helpful when preparing for each class.

Learned so many repeatable foundational skills on how to consistently make delicious pasta. Doing the four weeks was well worth it as you can practice the skills and grow your confidence to continue making pasta on your own. Marina’s recipes are restaurant quality, seriously you’ll think you were at Ragazzi or A Tavola they’re that good.

We did the class virtually and would highly recommend it to anyone. No hesitation. Do yourself a favor, and take a trip through Italy with Marina as your cooking guide.
