The class was well worth the money and great fun even for a worse than amateur painter like myself. The materials and everything were high quality, the music was great and the teacher was extremely helpful and encouraging. Would recommend!

This is the perfect activity for an online class. Vanessa is a fabulous instructor. I enjoyed learning a little bit about her at the start of the class but was glad we got to just jump into the work without having to do awkward ice-breaker introductions with every participant. The big advantage of this online course is that you can see up and close what Vanessa is doing. She is passionate about her work and this comes through also. What doesn't work so well in an online environment is us showing her our work but I wonder if this is even necessary at such an introductory level. I can imagine why she would want to see it to give us feedback and encouragement but I happiest just focusing on her expertise and all that she had to offer. The course is also aptly named - I didn't believe it at first but anyone can do calligraphy - if you're prepared to put the work in. It's like any art or craft. To me this was well worth the time, money and effort.
