Teachers were friendly and welcoming, clearly experienced. Quite busy so they won't always be supervising but don't be afraid to ask for help.

They have snacks and water. The place was cutely decked out, chill and homey vibes.

You can pick your own image, make sure it is relatively block colours and not too detailed. Teachers will provide advice if it is suitable. The image is projected and traced before tufting starts. Quite satisfying to get those clean straight lines. Would do it again :)

It was a nice studio, with a good ambience and music. We spent the first half an hour listening to the teacher's explanation of the various techniques, got some time to experiment on these techniques and then started our own work - many using a reference photo. Teacher would do rounds, happy to offer suggestions. Material, tools were fine. Class of about 8 people.

Absolutely recommend this class!
Corinne was very experienced and organised. She was friendly, happy to answer any questions and help out if we were stuck, but also gave us space to experiment.
The studio was a converted garage looking out into a lovely garden. Fruit and cheese platter, with a cup of tea was a nice touch.
The rings turned out really well - there were options for different textured patterns, letters, numbers and symbols. You have a choice of 3 different widths.
Hammering gets very loud - so may be an issue for those with sensitive ears.

Much fun! Lovely, informative teacher who is passionate about her art. Relaxed pace - we were able to stay more than 30 minutes overtime if we wanted to finish off our decorations. The studio was brightly lit, there's parking right outside. Clear instructions, information booklet to take home and Sheree even emailed us a list of where to buy the ingredients and equipment afterwards. Took home a big bag of candles and soap - definitely worth a try.

Beginners Candle Making Class review by Tracey Chow - Sydney

Zena was engaging and a well practiced teacher who clearly knew what she was doing. The studio was warmly lit, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was a nice small class of 6, and she would come around to re-explain the steps or the finer details (and save your attempt when it started to go pear-shaped). Would highly recommend for a casual intro to wheel pottery. Thanks Zena for a great experience.
