Light filled venue. Engrossing painting challenges, with many painting techniques demonstrated. A great foundational course.

Our Teacher Ollie was very accessible - and had a great rhythm.
We were given good tips and then time to get into the structure of the work, then more tips and time to get into the shading and stroke work, and yet more tips and time to paint the background and foreground and then highlights. One short break in the middle to look at everyone else work and stand away from our own work. The 2 hours went super quick.

A focused space to practice brush stroke after brush stroke; until bamboo leaves and stems arise in tones of gray, koi with splots, and drawings of birds, mountains and trees- May after all be in reach. Fun.

Each lesson had a challenge element. The most fascinating, from my perspective, was learning to draw a hand, an older face in profile and a negative space drawing of a feather and apple. Enjoy.
