This warm and vibrant workshop space offers a diverse range of art-based classes through supporting local artists and teachers. I took my three kids, 20, 14, 12 to a Saturday class.
It was amazing.
None of us had ever done anything like this and thought we’d be awful…. But we did good Great teacher, super patient and passionate.

We did the wheel throwing and loved it. The studio is lovely, and the teacher are great, super friendly and helpful. They explain how to wheel throw properly but also in terms that are easy to understand. I would love to go back! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing it.

This is the second course I have completed ant Sun Room and I cannot speak more highly of the venue, the staff, the provisions, the atmosphere and the amazing soothing that this space and activity gives me. A beautiful space to connect with like minded people or bliss out if you need too.

The class was great and the instructor made effective use of the time in demo-ing then helping us individually. They were really supportive and made a tricky process very fun and doable.

My partner and I attended the pottery wheel class as a belated valentines date. Our teacher, Beck, was lovely and explained what we had to do very clearly. The venue was lovely and easy to find, and all materials we needed were provided to us. We were allowed as many attempts as we wanted to make a piece we were happy with, and all the clay we needed for each try was provided happily. It was a bit of a struggle at first, this was my second time doing pottery, but I got the hang of it with some help along the way from Beck, and ended up making something somewhat presentable! Would recommend for others wanting a cute date idea or for friends wanting an activity to do.

Took my mum for a little craft morning to Sunroom Studio to do their handbuilding class. The studio was a welcoming space, and our teacher was great at showing us different techniques to achieve our visions! They offer weekly classes as well as studio time, which I booked to add more detail to my piece before it gets fired. Can't wait to see the final results!

I recently attended the beginners wheel throwing workshop at Sunroom Studio.
It was so much fun and left me feeling inspired to continue exploring the art of pottery. Becky patiently guided us through each step. Her clear explanations and demonstrations made it easy for beginners like myself to grasp the fundamentals of wheel throwing.
The studio is sun filled and cosy - perfect for creative play! I highly recommend this beginners wheel throwing workshop to anyone interested in exploring pottery. Whether you're a complete novice or have some prior experience, this workshop will leave you with newfound skills and an appreciation for the art of wheel throwing.

Bek was wonderful to learn from and really patient! She kept us engaged and was very helpful in providing feedback to help us shape our clay pieces into the items we wanted during wheel throwing :) This was our first time ever and we were able to create 5 pieces within our 2 hour class as beginners thanks to her skilful advice. Would highly recommend and we are considering signing up for the 6-week beginner course!

The teacher was really helpful, fun and encouraging! The space itself was cute, it had a very relaxing vibe to it. We celebrated what we created and laughed throughout the process. I will absolutely be returning and recommend the beginner class.
The experience was purchased for a bday gift to a friend, she loved it, totally hit the mark.

What was the teacher like? She was such a sweet soul, very calming and engaging.
How was the venue: easy to locate and free off street parking.
If materials were provided: all tools were provided, clay, apron, tea/coffee and chocolates added extras.
Was the experience good value for money? Definitely worth every penny spent, and highly recommend for others.
What did you do / learn? Learnt techniques on how to mould the Roku clay together and several other techniques.
What did you like most: The relaxed environment and the beautiful natured/helpful teacher.
Today was such a relaxing and beautiful day. Loved the smell of the insence in the room, We can't wait to see our pieces, Thank you

Meg was an absolute blast to have as the teacher! She was fun, super bubbly and approachable! You can ask her so many questions and ask for assistance at any point in the session.
The class instructors that were there were all so welcoming, and the little corner for tea and coffee was lovely

This term at Sunroom Studio has COMPLETELY exceeded all expectations.
The six weeks absolutely flew by, and by the end of it all, our entire class were making plans to return for ongoing sessions.
The guidance is personable and professional, and the legendary owner really goes the extra mile to ensure that every member of the class is supported and seen.
I’d do this course again in a heartbeat and recommend it to all.

Our teacher was fantastic. Such a welcoming and calm energy in her presentation. she was very informative and patient with us as we learned how to effectively use the wheel.
The space was beautiful, lots of natural light from the storefront windows, very welcoming.
The provided clay and tools were in good condition, we were given aprons to wear for the session to help keep our clothes clean.
The experience was definitely worth the price, in the two items my partner and I both got to each create and take home after being glazed and fired in the kiln; as well as the direct assistance we received from the teacher. She also gave us coffee and biscuits which was lovely.
My partner and I learned how to effectively use a wheel to create cups, bowls, plates, and other round objects. It was certainly not easy, and I personally spent a significant portion of the time just mesmerically gazing at the clay spinning on the wheel. The time flew by; I almost ran out of time creating my second item.
In hindsight I wish I'd made my cup larger, as it ended up shrinking a bit in the kiln and becoming a cute little espresso cup! (see the attached piccie). overall a lot of fun!

We visited Sunroom Studio today for the beginners workshop and had a fantastic time. A beautiful, calming atmosphere, small class size, and a great teacher. Bec was patient, friendly, and attentive, and we felt immediately comfortable in her workshop. Being complete beginners, we had plenty of opportunity to experiment and play around with the clay. Bec also offered us tea & biscuits which were a lovely touch! It's clear that a lot of love has been poured into this studio. My partner and I had a wonderful time and we would love to come back!

Bec was an amazing teacher!
She was very skilful, yet super friendly and so engaging.
The location was easy to find, lots of parking in the nearby streets.
Venue was great set up and plenty of clay to practice with.
