Joe and Jo were generous, welcoming and informed hosts. They shared more than their excellent gardening knowledge with their generosity. Their house and garden are inspirations in terms of what can be produced on a small urban block. This is a course I would recommend to first time and experienced gardeners who want to produce a little or a lot. There was information for all. Thank you

What a great asset this family is to the Mountains area. Excellent informative workshop that covered a lot of ground and was delivered in a fun and relaxed format by Joe & Jo.

I would highly recommend to others

Had a fantastic time at todays class- seeing a small yard transformed into a mini farm was extremely inspiring, and the teacher Joe was an enthusiast who lives his craft every day. This was a terrific overview of micro urban farming that was full of tips, ideas, and shortcuts that would take years to master on your own. I think this will improve my veggie patch results no end. Joe and his wife Jo are passionate experts who are extremely knowledgeable and very happy to share what they know. If your veggie patch needs improving, you want to get chooks and master the compost heap, come along to this interactive class and have a wonderful time learning all about it. For ages 18 to 80! :P

Joe and Jo were absolutely delightful hosts they were both extremely informative in urban farming. During Covid they started a verg outside their home a community garden which is well attended, there was a hands on with planting garlic and starting a mushroom kit. We were treated to a wonderful morning tea, I would highly recommend this workshop for anyone that is interested in growing your own food.

Loved our morning at Springwood. Enjoyed looking at this small farm on a suburban block and seeing what can be achieved. Composting, seed collecting, growing tomatoes and lots of vegetables; we took away many ideas and inspiration from Jo, Joe and their lovely family, as well as our mushroom growing pack!
You could not visit Urbavore and leave without learning something and be motivated to do more in your own garden.
