What you'll do
In this fun and functional all-day school holiday workshop, kids will create a beautiful clay piece they can be proud of—an egg tray or trinket dish made entirely by hand.Working with air-dry clay, each child will roll, shape, and form their piece using simple moulding techniques. Once their tray has firmed up, they’ll bring it to life with patterned designs and a glossy seal. No messy paints or complicated finishing steps—just a satisfying process and a truly personal result.Whether it becomes a gift, a place to keep their treasures, or a functional kitchen or desk piece, this is the kind of creative project that feels as rewarding as it looks.What they'll learn:
- How to roll, shape, and mould air-dry clay
- Basic techniques for smoothing and refining clay surfaces
- How to decorate and seal a handmade item using layered design techniques
- The satisfaction of making something functional and personal
- Confidence in their own creative choices
- Our secure space is only accessible to participants.
- All instructors have valid Working with Children Checks.
- Parents must drop off and pick up children in person and complete a short admission form.

Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter!
