What you'll do
Experience Sydney like never before with this Aboriginal Dreamtime sightseeing tour. Over half a day, join completely Aboriginal-owned tourism company Dreamtime Southern X and travel through the city of Sydney on a unique cultural trail.
Throughout this Wyanga Malu (Earth Mother) coach tour, we will visit sites of significance, learning more about the cultural aspects of metropolitan Sydney and its surrounding landscape.
You will discover how Aboriginal people maintain their cultural connection to these areas and experience first-hand how to always walk on and travel through country, whether in the city or the outback, with deep respect.
Tour outline:
- Experience an Aboriginal Welcome Ceremony in Redfern before boarding the coach to the first stop at Victoria Park.
- Travel across the harbour bridge to a cultural site with rock engravings in North Sydney, followed by a Sydney Harbour heritage session in The Rocks.
- Travel to the Domain area - experience a leisurely 45 minute walk in The Macquaries Chair area, a cultural site with iconic views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
- Enjoy a lunch/picnic with Aboriginal flavours, prepared modern style. You'll have plenty of photo opportunities overlooking the harbour before we travel back to Redfern.
