What you'll do
Join the Pop-Up Book Making Adventure at Shine Art Academy—where Imagination Meets Reality!
In our unique course, we invite children to embark on a journey filled with creativity and fun. Making a pop-up book is not just an art project, it's a comprehensive exercise in thinking and manual skills. A friendly teacher will guide them every step of the way to ensure they can bring their imagination to life.
This creative workshop for kids in Sydney follows a smooth structure starting with the basics of page flipping before moving on to story conceptualization and design then creating pop-up shapes, colouring and decoration before finally finishing with story integration.
The journey begins with learning the basics of making simple flip pages and understanding the fundamental structure of a pop-up book. We'll cover measuring and cutting paper to ensure each page flips perfectly.
Each child will create their own unique story. We encourage them to use their imagination to craft engaging plots and characters.
In the next step, children will learn how to fold and glue paper to create three-dimensional shapes. This process not only hones their crafting skills but also stimulates their spatial awareness.
Bring the story to life with colours using watercolors or markers. Children will learn how to select appropriate colours and techniques to add vibrancy to their creations.
Finally, we guide the children in assembling their pages into a complete pop-up book. It's not just a showcase of creative output but also an opportunity to apply the skills they've learned.
