Hi there I'm Cara, the founder of Altitude Tea. I've been a life long tea drinker obsessed about tea quality, taste and getting the tea ceremony part down to a fine art. I have sampled over 1, 000 varieties of tea during my life time from all corners of the world and I would like to share with with you the best of the best. This is my 2nd time participating in Cara's class and enjoyed it as much as the first time. We were welcomed into her cosy tea studio and we instantly felt relaxed.The session starts off with a sound bath and then proceeded through to the ceremony and we learnt about the philosophies behind each step. You can't help but feel present, the weight of the world lifted as Cara guides you through the life of the tea leaves as it unfurls, the glugging sound the tea cups make, the aromas and taste of wonderful quality tea. Thank you for the wonderful session for my partner and I Cara, it was just what we needed to start our big weekend!

Had a wonderful tea ceremony yesterday with Cara! It was peaceful and relaxing, starting with some sound bowl and chime meditation to get us ready. The tea ceremony itself was also a gentle and mindful experience. We experienced 3 new teas prepared in 2 different ways, Cara teaching us about the individual teas and explaining the significance of each step as she went. Would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in tea, wants to learn about tea or is looking for a peaceful practice they can implement into their lives. Thanks Cara!

Amazing class with a lovely teacher. The space was cozy and welcoming. We learnt about and tried different types of tea, enjoyed a sound bath and really just took the time to slow down and be mindful and intentional. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing afternoon with Cara where our tea ceremony experience turned into an interactive Daoism workshop with tea sampling. Our topics were wide ranging from life challenges, to relationships and wellbeingthe ancient saying that you can see the world from a flower is the best to describe the experience with Cara's class-you can see the world through a tea leaf!

Cara is very insightful, calm and highly experienced tea sommelier. Everyone takes her class will benefit from her positive energy.

I booked the Mindful Tea Ceremony experience for my partner's birthday. We walked in not knowing what to expect, but the entire experience exceeded everything. Cara was very attentive and knowledgable in her craft. The tea quality was A grade and the mindfulness activity was enlightening.

Enjoyed a wonderful morning learning all about the ritual of the tea ceremony. It was a great way to unwind and pick up some very useful tips to relieve the stresses of life. The teacher was very knowledgeable about tea and meditation.

The ceremony was great! Cara is very lovely, engaging and very knowledgeable about teas and mindfulness. The space is very warm and inclusive. One thing I note though is you have to go up the stairs. I didn't see any lifts for those that may not able to go up. I wasn't able to check on this.

The process of the ceremony helped my mind calmed down a lot and appreciate the teas instead of gulping it down. Bonus points on the candle lights as we transition to night. I felt closer to myself. At the end of the session, I felt calm, refreshed and grateful.

Cara was a fantastic host. Her in-depth knowledge of all things tea in addition to her calm and patient demeanour made the experience both educational and relaxing. The tea itself was delicious and the variety we experienced across oolong/green/herbal was great and helped us to draw out the differences.

Cara's venue was wonderfully set up and is great for a small group. I would recommend allowing a bit more time to find parking as Waterloo can be quite busy!

Surrender to the present moment. Cara’s tea ceremony experience is mind-blowing and nourishing to both body and spirit. At a knowledge level, you learn so much on the oriental tea culture, its origin, development and contemporary practice. At a taste level, you get to try different tea flavours and their unique aroma. At a spirit level, the sound of the crystal singing bowl brings you tranquillity. The meditative movements of brewing the tea, every step is filled with consciousness. This would be a perfect gift class to groups of people who would like to have memorable meditation experience, and to learn alternative ways of living. The class setting is cosy and personalised, we had a group of two and found it is perfect.

The mindful tea ceremony with Cara was such a calming and fun experience. The singing bowl was a beautiful way to start, followed by us sharing a variety of different teas. The tea ceremony I had with Cara was wonderful. If you're looking to try something new I definitely recommend it. I left feeling completely different to how I normally do, just at peace with everything going on and present in the moment. It something you must experience to truly understand. It gives you something you can take away and use to your advantage in life and it also gives a great insight into Chinese tea history/culture. I received the « Tea ceremony experience » for Christmas. We had a very good time with Cara. She is lovely and makes sure we are comfortable. Her room is beautifully decorated. Absolutely amazing experience! I would definitely go again and I would fully recommend that you sign up! Cara (who leads it) was wonderful and so nice! It was relaxing, delicious and educational (but in a fun way)! I purchased a tea with my discover nsw points and it helped me sleep so much! Also combinations of floral and tea leaves and lemon grass makes tea flavour more
interesting.
