What you'll do
Looking for relaxing things to do in Sydney? Join this clay hand-building class and create your own custom ceramic item!
Guided by your friendly teacher, you will explore a few different techniques like coil building and slab pottery to create unique ceramic pieces you'll love.
There will also be time to decorate with a range of underglazes, slips, stamps, sgraffito, and oxides. We will dry and bisque fire your creations, and depending on your chosen decorating technique, you can pick a clear or white glaze for the final finish.
By the end of the class, you should be able to pick up the finished piece in about two or three weeks, ready to take home!
Knowledge required
Suitable for beginners to intermediates.
What you'll get
Clay, materials, glazing, and two firings are included.
What to bring
Clothing that can get muddy, an apron, and enclosed shoes are required.

Pots & Bobs is located in Mount Colah and is a small home-based studio with work areas both outdoor and indoor.
I have been teaching ceramics on the Central Coast for several years and recently decided to open up my space in Mount Colah to give our local community an opportunity to explore their creativity in an informal and relaxed setting.
​There are several guided workshops and short classes available on most days. You are also welcome to come with your own project and together we will work to achieve the best possible creative outcome.
