Looking to reimmerse yourself in the wonderful world of soap making? Rejoin our Cold Process Soap Making Class in Sydney - our Refill Workshop! Here, you will revisit the magic of cold process soap making, creating your own bespoke soap loaf just like before. Armed with your silicon soap mould from your previous class, you'll once again blend, pour, and create your own bespoke soap loaf under the expert guidance of our instructors, all while enjoying the comfort and convenience of our dedicated workspace.
Why Refill with Us:
  • Skill Reinforcement: Refresh your memory and refine your techniques as you revisit the cold process method. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring your soap-making skills remain sharp and polished.
  • Convenient Workspace: Say goodbye to soap spills and kitchen clutter! Return to our workshop and enjoy the luxury of crafting without the worry of cleanup. Our fully-equipped space provides the ideal environment for unleashing your creativity.
  • Safety Assurance: With all the necessary equipment on hand, you can rest assured that safety is our top priority. By crafting in our space, you minimise the risks associated with handling potentially dangerous materials and ensure a secure environment for your crafting endeavours away from children and pets.
What you will learn:
Working knowledge of the cold process soap making method, - How to safely work with Lye (caustic soda) which is essential to the soap making method, - How to add essential oils and botanicals while preserving their properties, - How to de-mould, cut, store & cure your soap.
The experience of our soap making class in Sydney is not just about creating soap; it's about reigniting your passion for crafting and empowering yourself with new skills.
Knowledge required
This class is only available to customers who have previously attended one of our soap making workshops and who have kept their silicone mould to reuse in this class. Because of the use of lye, we do not recommend this class for pregnant women or children under the age of 16 years.

What you'll get
  • Your handmade soap loaf that can be cut down to approximately eight to ten bars.
  • A beautiful selection of oils, butters, clays, and botanicals to personalise your soap.
What to bring
You will need to bring back your silicon mould from your first class cleaned and ready to use. You will be taking your soap home with you. It is a good idea to bring a towel to wrap it in and a bag to carry it home - you'll need to keep your loaf snug and warm for 24 hours!
Safety note: Lye is an incredibly strong chemical that requires extreme caution. Because of this, we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and enclosed shoes. Please don't worry; we will teach you how to handle it safely so you won't have any issues.
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea or hens party.

This experience would also be a cool gift for her, gift for mum or gift for couples.

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
