Delve into the world of candle making with this hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art of creating beautiful soy candles. In this 90-minute candle making class, you'll discover why soy wax is a fantastic choice for eco-friendly and easy-to-work-with candles.

Whether you're winding down from the workweek or easing into the weekend, this session gives you the chance to create something cool, and set the tone for a productive weekend ahead. This one is for those who lean more towards wanting to know the nitty gritty, master technique and become an expert. Perhaps you're even thinking of starting your own side hustle.
Scent & Sip Saturdays :
Welcome the weekend with an upbeat, social, candle making session where guests enjoy crafting candles with a mocktails /wine in hand (*drinks are not included in the kit) Perfect for friend groups, couples, or solo creatives looking for a weekend wind-down activity.
Self Care Sundays:
The perfect way to mentally prepared for the week. Breathe deep, sip on your cup of herbal tea (*not included in the kit) and create something beautiful as you reconnect with yourself from the comfort of home. Feel free to work quietly with your camera off if that’s your vibe — this is your time to recharge. Low key, no need for perfection, just creativity and calm. Just good vibes, good scents, and good company!
What You'll do:
  • Learn how to melt, mix, colour, wick and scent your very own candles
  • Discover how to choose the right wick for a beautifully burning candle
  • Understand why ingredients matter, including paraffin free, vegan and phthalate-free options
No need to worry if you're a beginner – your fabulous and knowledgeable host will guide you every step of the way. You can expect a fun and creative experience as you craft two custom candles. Feel equipped with the skills to continue creating your own beautiful candles going forward!

  • 2 x medium Oxford candle glasses - choose below
  • 2 x wood candle lids

  • 1 x plastic wax jug with long pouring neck
  • 1 x 330g compostable bag of premium pure soy wax (i.e. half for each glass)

What you'll need
You'll need access to a microwave in order to use the included plastic jug to melt the wax. You'll only need access to a stove and kitchen pot with water to melt the wax if choosing to add the metal jug optional extra.

About your instructor
In 2009, I taught myself to make soy candles at home, and later also became a soap maker. Soon after, I established a successful bath, body and home fragrance brand from my small kitchen, and my creations were featured regularly in national magazines and newspapers. My products were stocked Australia-wide, sold in boutiques and chain stores around Australia, and I exported to Hong Kong and the U.S.A. After taking a break to have my kids, I returned to pass this knowledge on to others through workshops and supplies.
