I live in Hornsby, Sydney, with my fiancé and our six-year-old Australian Cattle Dog cross, Midori.
When I’m not keeping up with Midori’s endless energy, I love staying active with self-defence kickboxing and reformer Pilates. I also spend my free time crocheting, sewing, journalling, colouring, reading, playing video games, tending to my veggie garden and indoor plants, or cooking. I usually have a YouTube video, audiobook or music playing in the background while I’m creating.

- My dog Midori is named after the Japanese word for green because of my love for the colour.
- I love having a creative project on the go, whether that’s crochet, sewing, journalling or caring for my plants.
- I’m a big fan of combining hobbies with a little background entertainment, from podcasts and audiobooks to music and videos.

I love wandering through markets or browsing op shops for hidden treasures.
Favourite craft
Crochet is my ride-or-die craft! I love the process of creating something slowly with my hands. I’d also love to spend more time learning watercolour and gouache painting.
3 top tips to recharge and unwind
- Have a hot shower. Like the hottest shower known to man; I’m talking skin-melting, sauna-at-home vibes.
- Prioritise cosiness. Wear the comfiest, cosiest clothes you own.
- Have a hot drink. Your favourite warm beverage (my go-to is a green tea or matcha latte).
3 top tips for embracing creativity
- Don’t be afraid to “ruin” it or get it wrong. This has always been what’s held me back, and you learn so much more from just giving it a go and reflecting on the process.
- Set the mood. Put on some music or background noise that helps you concentrate and get into a creative rhythm.
- Bring a friend. Sometimes it helps to have someone to chat to while you’re creating!
