Your teacher
I’m a part-time Floristry teacher at TAFE NSW and an event florist with experience across weddings, events, and large-scale installations. Over the years I’ve freelanced with many of Sydney’s leading florists and stylists, including John Emmanuel, JimKet, Madame Fleur, Sweet Heavenly Events, The Faux Fernery, and She Designs on both fresh and artificial designs. My freelancing work includes experience on some of the largest weddings in Australia, projects for high-profile clients, and multiple seasons of Married at First Sight.I also freelance with The Yard & Co, floral creative agency contributing my floristry skills to major corporate and restaurant installations across Sydney, interstate and New Zealand. Alongside this, I’ve worked as a florist in the Silkflora Annandale store and now teach a wide range of workshops with faux flowers through the Silkflora Academy.Before floristry, I built a career in Learning & Development, holding senior roles with Coca-Cola Amatil, the NSW Department of Commerce, and BT Financial Group. I’ve also taught sewing skills to both adults and children in fabric stores around Sydney and I’m a qualified milliner (hat maker).I’m passionate about colour, teaching, and floristry and when I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me at home with my two teenage girls and our much-loved dogs, Max and Bailey.
