When Natasha was only fifteen, growing up in the stunning city of St Petersburg, Russia, her life changed forever. She became an orphan during a time of communism and poverty and had to find a way to survive on her own. With nothing but determination, she turned to what she knew best—baking—something she had learned from her beloved Babushka (grandmother) since childhood.
She began making pirogi, bliny, and traditional Russian cakes like Medovik, the famous honey cake. At first, it was just a way to earn a little money, but soon people returned again and again for her food. What started as a small struggle for teenager's survival grew into a thriving baking business, built on love, hard work, and tradition.
Today, Natasha has brought those treasured recipes and skills from her Babushka to Australia. Now she is ready to share the same secret family recipes—passed down through generations—through warm and welcoming cooking classes.
When you join, you won’t just learn how to cook Russian food—you’ll experience the culture, the traditions, and the strength of a story that began in hardship and blossomed into something beautiful.
