We had such a great day at the native florals workshop. While I had worked with polymer clay a bit before, I was able to learn some techniques I was too scared to try before. Bonnie had really thought out the structure of the class well and was a fabulous and patient teacher. Thank you!

Everything was well organised and the venue was at a fantastic cafe in the Perth hills. I have followed Bonnie and her business Hatching Sparrows for some years so was thrilled to see she was having a workshop. I learnt allot of tips and tricks of how to work with polymer clay throughout the class. Bonnie and her friend Sharon were always available to help when needed. I ended up with making 2 pairs of earrings and bought 2 of Bonnie’s earrings. I am such an earring addict and also a watercolour artist who loves Australian flora and fauna. So this workshop was so enjoyable I would highly recommend it.

I attended a native floral earring making workshop with Bonnie on 26th August 2023 and it was the best thing I’ve done in a long long time.
All the material was provided and beautifully laid out. Bonnie’s method of teaching, attention to detail as well as the individual attention she gives each student is flawless.
The class is structured well to support beginners as well as people who have experience with polymer clay.
I went home with two pairs of earrings and a ton of inspiration. The class was fun and time just flew.

Bonnie is a great teacher, and so skilled at what she does. The atmosphere was fun and lighthearted and we got to take home at least one pair of earrings each, sometimes two or three! A great class both for complete beginners (like me!) as well as those looking to hone their skills, given Bonnie's years of experience. A great way to spend some girl time on a Saturday. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful day we spent with Bonnie and Sharon from Hatching Sparrows. We attended a class at Cafe Mojo, so there was plenty of parking and amazing coffee delivered to our function room. Bonnie was patient and thorough in explaining technique to make the earrings, and her humor and kindness was so appreciated. It was so lovely to hear the participants say they couldn't have imagined creating the amazing designs they did - Bonnie was talented at both awakening our inner artist and explaining the steps in simple, easy to follow language. I attended with a friend which was a bonding experience but as the classes are kept small you could easily attend by yourself and not feel left out. We will be registering for the next class! Today I got to hang out and spend some creative time with Bonnie from hatching sparrows and many other awesome creative people. Bonnie is someone I have followed and admired for years her earrings are so detailed and intricate they blow me away every time I see them. It was amazing to learn new techniques and walk away with new earrings that I love. Bonnie was great explained everything in real language and lots of one on one time to help you create the perfect earrings. If you’re in Perth I highly recommend Bonnie’s workshops absolutely suitable for people with no clay experience everything was supplied and there was options to purchase earrings and kits to continue skills at home. I had the best day and would highly recommend Bonnie’s workshops.
