Holly Peasland

Head of Customer Service and Growth Partners

Hi, I'm Holly, and I lead ClassBento's growth partners team.
Educated and raised in the UK, I moved to Sydney in 2004 where I continued my career in events and exhibitions in the travel industry and more recently online gifting with a hamper company, before joining ClassBento.
I'm so happy to be part of a company, whose core beliefs and culture are about mental wellbeing and avoiding burnout. This is so relevant across the world, and if we are able to help change this in any way, I think it's amazing. And it's great that ClassBento donates to Dementia Australia. As a growth partner, working with independent passionate teachers, who are inspirational and love what they do, inspires me to try new things. There is so much to learn. We have a real sense of community both within the team and with our customers, we all look after one another. ClassBento is giving back to Dementia Australia too.
I enjoy a bit of baking - Mary Berry's Bake off is such a good show. I have so many more classes to do, I've only done a few so far - Paint a Colleague was a great team exercise and mindful eating was a good wake-up call not just eat in a rush all the time
Since living in Sydney. I've won a competition and met the Wiggles, sunbathed at Avalon Beach next to Nicole and Keith and was an extra in Home and Away..... which one is a lie?

I live in Berowra, a small suburb on the outskirts of Northern Sydney surrounded by bushland, with my husband Alex, our three beautiful children and our chocolate brown Tamaruke dog, Banjo (who is five years old, or 35 in dog years!).

As my children have grown older, I’ve found more time to rediscover my creative hobbies. I’ve been making sourdough for the past three years and am keen to dust off my sewing machine, try upcycling, make my own kombucha and even experiment with candle making. I also have a very large collection of jars that need filling.

My career has taken me across customer experience, entrepreneurship and the travel industry.

About me

  • I started my own organic baby food business called Little Parsnips.
  • I’ve worked on major B2B travel expos in both London and Dubai.
  • I’m a proud collector of jars, with plenty of creative ideas for what they could become!

Top weekend activity

Watching my kids play rugby and league tag, going for beach walks with my dog, Banjo, and enjoying time outdoors with my family.

Favourite craft

There’s something about pottery classes that I absolutely love. Getting your hands dirty and creating something unique is incredibly relaxing. I like making pieces that I can actually use around the house, like a mug, a bowl or a vase, because every time I see or use them, I’m transported back to the moment I made them.

3 top tips to recharge and unwind

  • Spend time in nature. Walking through the bush really grounds you. Try hugging a tree sometimes.
  • Enjoy your own company. Take time to do things by yourself so you can slow down and set your own pace.
  • Make time for simple joys. A good movie, a glass of wine and sweet and salty popcorn shared with friends and family is hard to beat.

3 top tips for embracing creativity

  • Say YES. Stepping outside your comfort zone can lead to unexpected creative adventures.
  • Don’t take it too seriously. If something doesn’t go to plan, have a laugh and call it “rustic”!
  • Make time to create. Creativity can awaken different parts of your brain, boost your mood and bring a real sense of joy.
