Welcome and Discover the World of Design
We begin the class by introducing the theme (Coco Chanel) the story behind the brand, the vision, the style and design elements that make the brand.
We will learn about her life, signature looks, and what made her designs so iconic, from tweed suits to pearls and quilted bags.
Inspiration & Moodboards
Students explore moodboards and images of Chanel collections to understand her colour palette, textures, and design mood.
They’ll start building their own creative ideas inspired by the theme.
Fashion Illustration Basics
They’ll learn how to express their ideas through fashion sketches using shapes, silhouettes, and details that reflect the Chanel aesthetic and learn to draw their very own Chanel inspired look, guided step-by-step by the instructor.
Fabric & Trim Selection
It’s time to bring their designs to life! They’ll explore fabrics, trims, and textures, choosing materials and trims that fit their creative vision.
Learning Techniques
Students are introduced to basic design and sewing techniques, cutting, gluing and assembling their creations together.
Now comes the fun part, making their design come to life!
Kids work hands-on to create a mini garment, accessory, or artwork inspired by Chanel (Or selected theme).
Showcase & Share
To finish, everyone presents their design to the group, sharing what inspired them and what they learned, building confidence and creative expression.
