What you'll do

Looking for hands-on lino printing activities? Come and join the next draw, carve, print workshop and learn how to transform your own original designs onto gorgeous linen tea towels!

You'll be taken step by step through the whole process - from drawing your design (if you get stuck your teacher Karen can give some tips and inspiration) to learning the best techniques for printing your design onto 100 per cent linen tea towels.

During this class, you'll also learn how to transfer your design onto the silicone block and how to use carving tools to create the perfect image.

Choose from three linen colour options and a variety of fabulous, fabric ink colours. You'll also discover how to blend the inks to create your own unique colours.

At the end of the class, take home three linen tea towels displaying your own unique design.

Knowledge required

Absolute beginners welcome. The minimum age for students is 14 due to the sharp carving tools.

What you'll get

Three linen tea towels printed with your own unique design.
All materials are provided in this workshop including:

A set of carving tools
A silicone block
An apron
A pencil, rubber, ruler and paper
A tape measure and some pins

Please note: tools kits and printing accessories are provided for attendee use and are not to be removed from the studio.

What to bring

Any design ideas or drafts you may wish to work from. Ideally, your design should fit on the 10cm x 15cm silicone block
A water bottle

This class is great for a birthday or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

This venue is located in the Main Street of the Samford Village. It is a small brown brick building adjacent to the corner grassed park. Just look for the CWA signage.
