Make & Play: Pottery Class for Family Fun

A fun, hands-on pottery handbuilding class for kids and their grown-ups.

2 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests

  $82 - $90 (Afterpay available)
($90 per guest when you book for 1+ guests, $82/guest for 4+ guests)

Looking for something fun and creative to do with the kids these school holidays? Come get your hands dirty at The Northern Pottery in this special two-hour handbuilding session made for kids and their grown-ups to enjoy together!
You’ll each create your own small handbuilt piece—like a trinket tray with a cheeky animal, a pinch pot creature, or a sculptural treasure. It’s all about using your hands, trying something new, and making a little bit of magic out of clay.
No pottery experience needed! All you need to do is bring your imagination! Our team will guide you through the steps, and you’ll each make one piece that we’ll glaze and fire for you. Choose from our range of house glazes, and your pieces will be ready to collect a few weeks later.
Please note:
  • Children must be aged 7 or older.
  • Each child must be accompanied by a participating adult.
  • Both adult and child need to book a place ($90 per person).
  • This is a hands-on session for both adults and children. Everyone makes their own piece!
We teach in small groups of no more than 8 and encourage you to have as much fun as you can in two hours!
Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you fuelled while you create.
What you'll get
  • A uniquely hand-built ceramic object, glazed and fired to perfection
  • All tools, materials, and instruction provided during the workshop
  • Firing and glazing in our house glazes
  • Complimentary tea, coffee and snacks to enjoy during the class
  • A memorable, hands-on creative experience
Your finished ceramic object will be ready for collection 3–4 weeks after the workshop. We’ll notify you when it’s ready!
