What you'll do
In this workshop, you’ll make your very first crochet bag! How exciting is that?!We’ll start at 9am with a little intro so everyone can get to know each other. The idea is for it to feel super relaxed and friendly, more like a creative morning with friends than a formal class.The workshop will take place in a lovely art studio in Marrickville, which makes the whole experience even nicer. You’ve also got a great coffee spot just next door (perfect if you’re a coffee lover) and a brewery right across the street for anyone who might feel like a drink after.All the materials are included, and we'll have some snacks and drinks so we can enjoy the process together. Your teacher, Moni, will guide you step by step but there’s absolutely no pressure at all! Everyone goes at their own pace. Some people will pick it up quickly, others will take a bit longer and that’s completely fine.For Moni, it’s not just about making the bag. She really wants this to be a safe, easy-going space where you can chat, meet new people, share a few laughs and just enjoy creating something with your hands.By the end of the workshop (around 12:30pm), you’ll have your own crochet bag to take home and hopefully a really nice experience to go with it.

Hi! I'm Moni, the person behind these crochet workshops in Sydney:)Crochet actually started as a hobby for me, going to classes with my mum. What began as something simple and creative slowly grew into something bigger, and over time I started my own small crochet business back in Madrid, making and selling handmade bags.Now that I’m in Sydney, I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of just selling my pieces, I thought, why not teach others how to make their own? There’s something really special about creating something with your own hands, and honestly, who doesn’t love walking down the street feeling proud of something they’ve made themselves? ;)My background is in entrepreneurship and event creation, so bringing people together has always been a big part of what I do. That’s why these workshops are designed as more than just a class, they’re a full experience! A relaxed, creative and social space where you can disconnect, meet new people, and enjoy the process of making something from scratch.I love teaching because it’s not just about learning a new skill, it’s about that moment when someone realises “I made this.” Seeing people go from complete beginners to leaving with their own handmade bag is incredibly rewarding.Whether you’re coming alone or with friends, the idea is simple: enjoy the experience, learn something new, and leave with a piece that’s entirely yours.
