Everyone loves a pizza party! So why not make your hens party, Christmas-do or team building activities a tasty one with this Sydney-based private pizza class?

It's time to ditch the frozen pizzas and learn how to make your own pizza using only seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques, so you can whip up a storm at home, any night of the week.

With the helpful guidance of pizza masters, you will learn the secrets of authentic Italian pizza-making from what flour to use to how much resting time it needs. Then, of course, it's time to curate your own perfect combination of sauce and toppings tailored specifically to your refined tastebuds!

Whilst you drool over anticipation for your creation, why don't you and your friends or teammates distract yourself by sipping on some wine or beer or nibbling your way through some antipasto? We've got it all covered for you.

Finally, it'll be time to enjoy your delicious homemade pizza with your chosen beverage and a great sense of achievement.

The below bottomless beverage packages are available as additional add-ons when booking private classes and are priced per person at the checkout:

  • Standard package: A selection of house white, red, rosé, prosecco, and sparkling wines, tap beers and soft drinks.
  • Premium package: A selection of premium white, red, rosé, prosecco and sparkling wines, bottled cider, tap beers and soft drink.
  • Cocktail package: A selection of three of our signature cocktails, Aperol Spritz, Sunset Negroni and Espresso Martini, plus house white, red, rosé, prosecco, and sparkling wines, tap beers and soft drinks.
  • Due to our RSA policy, if you purchase a bottomless drinks package for one person in your booking/party, you will need to purchase the package for every person within your booking/party. You can add multiple packages to your booking at check-out as it is priced per person.

Please note: Allow a reasonable amount of time to enter The Gateway Building and proceed to Level 2 for this class.

Our private cooking space as part of regular practice, is disinfected with food grade sanitiser along with all equipment and materials. Gloves are available and frequent washing of hands is already part of our cooking class schedule.

Originally based at Bourke Road in Alexandria, we have re-located our ‘Salt Meats Cheese Kitchen’ cooking school to our Circular Quay venue. At the same location is our newest addition, the fabulous rooftop Bar Ombre by SMC, now open for dining, sipping and events.

Queensland venues include Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast, and in Brisbane, West End, Newstead, South Bank with Woolloongabba coming soon, plus our infamous mobile Fuel Food Truck dishing out the finest wood-fired Pizza and Italian delights every day on location or look out for us at an event near you soon!!

We had the best time during our private pizza masterclass! It was entertaining while being super informative. The food (including the pizzas we made) was just amazing, as well as the service. Our teacher, the head chef, Vini was incredible. He took his time to make sure everyone was on track.

We learnt how to make the pizza dough/base from scratch. It was a private pizza making class.

The teacher was great, he provided some helpful tips, was funny, was very helpful when we were stuck on a step or process.

The venue was super easy to get to, as it's only a 1 min walk from Circular Quay station, and the place we had our cooking class was in a nice & open area with great lighting.

The materials provided were really good, and we had a variety of good pizza toppings to choose from to add onto our pizzas.

The class was good value for money, there was plenty of food, and the instructor was greathowever, we felt a bit ripped off with the 2 hour bottomless cocktails package, as we didn't start it until 2.30pm when everyone got there (even though the class was booked for 2pm-4pm, some of my friends were running late, so we didn't start the drinks until 2.30pm -- and we were told this was fine, that they can wait for us to start a bit later). So we were cut off from ordering any drinks after 4pm, even though we only started ordering from 2.30pm. There were also no reminders or warnings that our drinks package would end soon -- we were only approached at 4pm to be advised that the drinks package is over; no "hey, just letting you know, you have 1 hour/30 mins/15 mins left on your drinks package".

Overall, the cooking class at SMC was a fun & great experience that my friends & I would definitely do again.
