8 x 2 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests

$530 - $560 (Earlybird price of $530 applies if you book into a public session 28+ days ahead) (Afterpay available)

Ready to build on your wheel-throwing foundations? This eight-week intermediate course at The Northern Pottery is designed for those who’ve completed at least two terms of beginners and are confident centring clay and throwing basic cylinders and bowls.
In this course, you’ll take your skills further by exploring more complex forms and techniques. Think lidded vessels, sets with consistent forms, wide plates, platters, and refined trimming approaches. You’ll develop a more intentional throwing style, with guidance on form, function, and surface treatment along the way.
  • Each week includes demonstrations, hands-on throwing time, and support from experienced instructors to help troubleshoot and fine-tune your process.
  • There’s plenty of space to experiment, build confidence, and strengthen your creative voice.
By the end of the term, you’ll have a collection of finished pieces and a solid foundation to keep growing your skills beyond the basics.
