What you'll do

Looking for a fun and creative way to gain fantastic sewing experience? Join our beginner-friendly 3.5-hour workshop, where you’ll learn essential sewing techniques while making your own beautiful zipped cosmetic bag or pencil case—a stylish and practical project you can use every day!

This class is designed for beginners and experienced sewers, helping each student create unique projects they can be proud of. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore creativity, build new skills and bring home something they made themselves!

Additional Information:

Your child's safety is our priority. At the start of class, each student will receive a safety briefing on using sewing equipment and will be supervised by skilled instructors and assistants throughout the session.

Working in a sewing studio involves using equipment like scissors, needles, and irons. By purchasing this ticket, you agree to follow safety protocols and appropriate behaviour during the class to prevent injury.

If your child has any allergies or takes medication, please let us know via email.

During workshops, we may take photos and videos of the creative process, and participants often enjoy taking pictures with their finished projects. These images may be used only for Galina's Sewing & Creative Studio to showcase and celebrate our student’s achievements. Please email us if you or your child prefer not to be included in photos/videos.

Hi, I’m Galina! I’m excited to teach people how to sew – from young children learning to sew while at school, through to those who want to sew professionally, and those who want to sew as a hobby. I’m happy to teach anyone at any skill level.

Most importantly, I want to make it simple for people to learn to sew and gain new sewing skills. I do this by encouraging new sewers to start on small and simple items before progressing to larger projects. That’s why most of my introductory courses and courses for kids start with things like tote bags and pillowcases.

I want people to feel happy and confident when they sew, and I’m pleased to say that has been the experience of each of my course and workshop participants so far! I run courses and workshops for small groups, which ensures that everyone can be given attention and assistance as they learn.

My workshops and courses are designed to walk participants through the basics and then offer increasingly challenging projects so that individuals develop new skills at their own place.

I offer a professional learning environment with all of the equipment and materials new sewers will need to learn and complete initial projects. I can also offer guidance and advice to people looking to purchase their first sewing machine or other equipment.
