This was an end of year work event for our team and it was so much fun. Very well organised, good quality resources, great instructors, lots of inspo around the place - and just a heap of fun! Would highly recommend to anyone!

This was maybe the 6th time I’ve attended a workshop at Merryl’s - and it never disappoints!
All the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the classes are well structured, there is a huge array of resources to use in your creations.
Highly recommend - both glass and mosaic workshops.

Excellent class and facilities. Teacher was great - and class was a small group of 12 or so women ranging in ages from 20s-70s. Good fun had by all, and we walked away with confidence, knowledge, and skills - not to mention a new planter box!

Really fun class! Didn’t know what to expect, but there was deffo more to it than I remembered from primary school
Fantastic studio space, two really lovely instructors, great quality resources, delicious range of drinks and snacks to graze on throughout the session. Also lots of examples around the room to draw inspiration from.
Class was well structured and divided into ‘chapters’, with clear instructions at each stage, helping you follow the creative process and giving you a chance to figure out what works for you. I got to make about three pieces in the end. Also, great touch showing everyone’s creations in a prezzo at the end.
Great atmosphere, relaxed and creative - I would have stayed there all afternoon if it were allowed - it was inspiring, relaxing, and energising all in one!

Fantastic class run by Fleur and George. Learned about the materials, tools, and cutting techniques. Lots of templates and examples to draw inspiration from, and then spent the majority of the day creating! The instructors were so lovely and helpful, but also gave time and space for you to work. There was such an extraordinary array of beautiful glass to choose from - deciding which colours and patterns to work with was one of the hardest parts.
Had an absolute blast! All of us loved our final products - and everyone in the class was planning to return :)

Lovely instructor who was passionate about the art form and used it in her fashion business (so got to see examples of the end result). Technique was demonstrated and then I was able to try it myself on a square of cotton- and then move on to the big square (I upgraded to a silk scarf and it made a huge difference to the transfer of colours).
Really creative and enjoyable trying out the different techniques and seeing how the colours react when a new one is introduced (though I had to learn not to get too attached to one shape or pattern because if I added more nearby it would morph into something new entirely).
Note - these need to dry, so you don’t take them home with you on the day.

Really fantastic workshop with good variety of quality materials. Workshop had a speedy overview of the tools and the different glass fusing techniques we could use, and we spent a little time looking at other designs for inspo.

The last two thirds of the time we were left to design and create, with our friendly instructors available for help and advice as required.

I ended up doing the large platter (and so did struggle somewhat to get it done in the time frame as there was so much more to cover), and am excited to see how it turns out once it’s been fired in the kiln!

Note: you don’t take the item home with you in the day - we were told it would be ready to collect in a few weeks, however if there was urgency, it could be completed in 4 days.

Really fun class - plenty of time for planning and then creating - and amazing to go home with such a good quality product (my very own, personalised, lamp which I could plug in and use straight away!)

This was so much fun to do! Instructors were friendly and helpful. Class was broken into intro to the art form, trying out the spray paint techniques, sketching ideas, then the actual painting.
Also loved wandering around the studios, hot drinks and some lovely treats were also laid out. Great workshop (and we were complete novices) - I highly recommend

Kids class (10-16y/o)- F13 & M16 - both thoroughly enjoyed the class. Students had a chance to gather inspiration for designs and learn some spray techniques before creating their art.
Instructors really encouraging - great studio - lots of fun!
Note if you want to take the artwork home it costs an extra $10
I will DEFINITELY be doing the adult class next!

Great class! One adult and two teens in our group and we were all totally absorbed by the activity.
Damla was our lovely teacher - would give instructions for the stage we were at and then leave us to it unless we were asking for help. Also lots of beautiful photo opportunities and clear instructions, and given nice packs to come home with.
Hardest part was choosing which colours and designs we wanted on our lamps.
Loved it! Highly recommended
