Had a really good time taking this class, and was a great lockdown activity. There could have been more instruction however, from Irina. A few things that would have helped:
1. Giving us a warning as to how much clay to use at the beginning, if we want a handle, noting that we need clay for the bottom of the mug, for the 'glue paste', etc.
2. Noting how to use the colours, and that instead of mushing them into the clay, it should be more 'painted' on the outside to help the colour appear.
3. Setting up-front what we should be using the colours for. I ended up using all of my colours to mix into the clay, and wasn't made aware that we still needed the colour to paint the mug after.
4. Giving more guidance on the size of the mugs. I did my class with 3 other people, and I can guarantee that none of our mugs will look anything like the examples in the pictures.
I would recommended this class to others as all supplies were accounted for and it was fun, however I think it just needs some further instruction.

Such a fun class! Vanessa has some great tips and the box she sent us all was perfect. Can’t wait to use my new calligraphy skills!
