What you'll do

Join us at September Studio in Darlinghurst to design, make and walk away with two of your very own handmade sterling-silver or solid 9ct gold rings.

During the two-hour workshop, we’ll walk you through the basics of silver or goldsmithing. You’ll get a hands-on experience, learning techniques such as sawing, annealing, soldering, filing and polishing from our mentor craftsmen---it’s perfect for beginners!

Your rings' size, shape and look are completely customisable and you'll be able to put lettering or numbering on the inside or outside---see some of our students' examples above. Due to the high-quality materials used, your new rings will also be water, sweat and rust-proof, giving you the peace of mind to wear them anyway.

Had a good time in the class, was able to customize a ring for myself.

From the advertisement, I thought I was making 2 custom rings but it was a practise ring and a custom ring, so I was a bit disappointed.

The instructor was well trained and taught us how to correctly create the rings. The instructor was often on their phone during downtime though.

This class was fantastic, the team were great with banter and guiding / stepping in to help where needed. The class included making two rings, one small dainty and another larger in width (multiple size options), overall we were really happy with the class and would recommend to our friends!

LOVED LOVED LOVED this ring making workshop! Our teachers were so patient, kind, down-to-earth, and helpful. They had no problems answering every question and aiding those who needed a bit of extra help. We each walked away with new skills and 2 x 9k gold rings that we hand crafted ourselves and let me tell you, they actually look pretty damn good for a newbie! I highly recommend this class, even if you wanted to go alone like I did :)
