The class was good, without being 'great'. I found that the language barrier with one of the guys was a bit difficult and when a question was asked, the instructor tended to take over rather than explain (which I put down to language). That did not really give the learning experience that we were after. Having 20 people in a small space was a bit squeezy.

Whilst baking "bread" for several years, I had no real concept of "sour dough" apart from buying it! The class was informative, interesting and Jess provided a great incite to the ups and downs of baking sourdough. My daughter Emily and I have made our "first loaf" and whilst it was not perfect, it was delicious and having our new found friend (starter Graham - named after my father who is also in his 90s) we will be certainly making more and trying to perfect this ancient art!
