What you'll do
Join us at Tufttea, Sydney's trendiest tufting studio, for a beginner's guide to rug-making!
Our hands-on tufting workshop is the perfect place for you to spend fun quality time with your friends and loved ones so that you can all unleash your creativity and create a cool rug that's totally unique to you.
In our hands-on class, our experienced instructors will show you how to create a custom tufted rug on a 60x60cm frame. You'll create your own design, choose your own yarn colours, operate the tufting machine, and learn the techniques for cleanly finishing off your tufted piece with backing and shaving.
Kick back and relax, and enjoy some snacks and drinks. All materials and tools are provided, so all you need to bring is your creative energy and enthusiasm!
You will also be able to bring the rug back home with you straight after your session!
Please note: The workshop price is catered to a maximum of two people to share one frame and tufting gun. Feel free to bring along a friend or partner to tuft together for the price of one! The workshop should take
approximately three to four and a half hours, however, this depends on an individual's tufting speed and design choice.
