What you'll do
Build a perfume from scratch using raw materials at this intensive and practical introduction to perfumery class in gorgeous Wildwood in Kangaroo Valley.
Over three hours, we will introduce you to an array of quality raw materials sourced the world over, the history of perfumery and the industry and discuss how to use the materials. From there you can design and make your own fragrance with Ainslie's guidance.
The classes are held in a natural setting under a sandstone cave in a tropical bush environment next to a creek. Absolutely stunning! Ainslie is a working perfumer so you will learn about the real world of perfumery and the working perfumer.
Corporate groups, retreats and private workshops are welcome, please contact your teacher below for more info. A bespoke course can be made for any specific requirements.
The session includes a local grazing plate and French champagne on completion.

Ainslie Walker Scentsmith is a practising perfumer, product developer and olfactory artist and has been teaching her renowned perfume making workshops in Australia for nine years - based in Sydney, she teaches regularly from her Marrickville studio. She also teaches interstate by appointment and in locations such as The Strand Arcade, and various Boutique hotels such as The Old Clare Hotel in the Sydney CBD.
