Introduction to Singing & Painting
Come together in a beautiful space to (re)connect with our creative selves.
If you've ever been told you "can't sing" or "can't paint" - this workshop is for you (Maybe the person saying this is you!)
To start the afternoon, Fiona will lead us in an introductory Singing Circle. We'll get familiar with using our breath & voice, then move onto learning some simple songs & harmonies (taught by ear - no sheet music). No stress, no solos, no pressure - just enjoy the Feel Good mood boost that comes from letting our voices flow freely.
After a short break, we'll then move onto painting - where Julie will guide you through creating an abstract-inspired painting on canvas inspired by music & sound. We invite you to leave perfectionism at the door and enjoy the process. There's no "right" or "wrong" in creative expression - just bucketloads of satisfaction in creating something uniquely your own.
Your ticket includes a delicious shared grazing board. There'll be time for refreshments (tea, coffee, shared grazing board & glassware provided).
BYO drinks are most welcome.
EARLY BIRD pricing until 17th April
Ages over 15 years.
Don't miss this opportunity to reconnect with your creative self and the sense of empowerment & freedom that brings.

Sing Your Heart Out with Me!
Hi, I’m Fiona Maria, a passionate Singing Facilitator whose mission is to help people reconnect with the innate singing voice that everyone is born with. Our singing voices aren't for other people's entertainment - they're a very powerful tool for self-expression, joy, and connection.
Maybe you've been told you “can’t sing” (not true - if you can speak you can sing!) Or maybe you're a confident singer, a karaoke superstar! Either way, the experience of Natural Voice group singing is both powerful and empowering. I create a safe and uplifting space where everyone can find their voice.
I've been a singer all my life, and a professional one as an adult. But chasing the limelight was never my thing. I'm all about bringing people together (because together we can make a difference!)
Why I Love Teaching
It's a privilege and a joy to witness someone light up when they discover the power and the primal emotional high that comes from simple group singing. I love bringing people together, breaking down the fear of using our voices, and watching groups transform as they connect through song.
A Bit About My Experience
I have been singing & performing professionally for over 20 years. Underpinning all my work is a firm commitment to the restorative and healing powers of singing together.
I'm a member of the international Natural Voice Network, who recognise that all over the world, for thousands of years, people have sung — to express joy, celebration and grief, to aid healing, to accompany work, devotion and the rituals of life — without worrying about having a “good” voice or “getting it right”.
I trained with the Community Interest Company (CIC) Singing Mamas (UK) who's work in the area of Group Singing for Perinatal Mental Health has been inspirational. I have studied Intergenerational Practice in the context of group singing with Griffith University
I've brought Singing Circles to community groups & corporate. To kids, adults & seniors. And over the years, I’ve seen how singing can transform people—boosting confidence, reducing stress, and creating a sense of belonging and fostering authentic connections.
Fun Fact!
Did you know that group singing has been shown to lower stress hormones and boost happiness? It’s no wonder humans have sung together for thousands of years—it’s wired into us!
If you’re ready to experience the joy of singing in a relaxed and welcoming environment, I’d love to sing with you!
