Unlock Your Unique Charm: Acting Workshop for Non-Actors

This two-day workshop is for non-actors who are curious about acting and want to build confidence, have fun, and explore what makes them stand out. Through playful acting exercises, discussion, and guided creative writing, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your unique charm, your natural quirks and presence, and how to harness it with confidence.By embracing your individuality through performance, you’ll uncover tools to express yourself with authenticity and impact in everyday life. No experience needed, just a willingness to show up as you are.The workshop will involve:

• Discussion and some guided creative writing to identify your unique charm and what makes you stand out
• Acting exercises and games
• Scene work in pairs or trios

Before the workshop, you’ll receive a short scene and be assigned a character. If you’re able to memorise some of the dialogue—that is, simply remembering the words, not performing them—it’ll help you get more out of the experience. But don’t stress if it doesn’t stick. If nerves take over and you forget everything, that’s totally okay and part of the process.
