  $119 ($119 per box for 1 box, $109/guest for 2+ boxes, $99/guest for 10+ boxes)

Learn how to make your own unique mug with this engaging craft box and originally designed instructions! You will discover an inspiring and unique way of building that perfect mug without using a pottery wheel.
You can choose between a craft box for two people which is perfect if you're looking for date night ideas at home or a craft box for four people, amazing for holiday family fun.
An instruction sheet PDF sent via email will demonstrate how to make a unique texture pattern or a marble effect for your pottery piece. You will be supplied with sufficient materials to build your mug and to apply the colourants to your wet piece, prior to firing.
The idea is to find inspiration in nature’s beautiful patterns, therefore the kit is equipped with a crystal (or two small ones) and matching colours. For those who like and appreciate the healing features of crystals, there is an option of infusing the crystal towers in your drinks after the mug is finished.
Included in a craft box for two people is (creates two mugs and two small saucers):
  • 1.2 kg of white (cream-coloured) clay
  • Two paintbrushes
  • Four tools (for cutting, scraping and modelling your mug)
  • Four different colourants in four separate containers (4 x 5 grams) - ceramic stain, oxide and/or underglaze, depending on availability
  • Two small or one medium sized crystals (for your inspiration, they will be sent depending on availability, promise they will be gorgeous)
  • One Wire Clay Cutter
  • Two half-moon ceramic sponges
  • Two thin sheets to spread a slab on, to be able to peel off clay from your working bench
  • An instruction sheet (four pages) uniquely designed and created by your teacher on how to conquer this unique mug hand-building technique.
Everything in your craft box is wrapped nicely and separately and labelled so that you know what everything is.
Craft box for four people includes doubled everything listed above except instructions, tumbler and wire clay cutter
Customised colours and sizes are available, so please get in touch if you have any questions.
Please note: Everything made of ceramic must be fired in ceramic kilns. The colour that you see inside of the mug is a glaze. Glazing comes after the first firing and must be fired again. Firing is cheap and you will get the information on how to find local studios that offer service firing.
You are welcome to book Irina's glazing and firing if you are in Sydney, but together with this craft box, you will learn the basic rules on how to proceed with completing your mug.
What you'll need

Hi, I'm Irina.
I like to introduce myself as a sculptor, although I'm engaged in different art disciplines too. I have never had another profession, nor have I wanted one. I fell in love with three-dimensional art at a very early age which came to me naturally, as I was born in a family of artists. It was the world I've grown up in, a measure of value around me.
I have graduated from Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and with a bit of luck, I had a chance to work internationally and gain great experience in different industries and media. Cooperating with professionals from other creative fields has perfectioned my skills and broadened the views of my artistic expression.
I have tried to gather all the projects I am engaged in on this website, showcase it, sell and teach my art. Always open for the new projects with fellow creatives, just get in touch.
