2 x 4 hours Class size 1 to 2 guests

  $1,400 - $1,950 ($1,950 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $1,400/guest for 2 guests)

Learn the complete process of professional torso casting from a live model — a skill used in fine art, custom commissions, and keepsake work such as pregnancy (“baby bump”) casts.
This intensive two-day workshop covers every step from mould-making to a finished, mounted cast. You will work hands-on with professional materials, under expert guidance, to produce a detailed, gallery-quality piece.
Day 1:
  • Health, safety, and model preparation
  • Skin-safe moulding techniques for the upper torso or a body part of your choice
  • Choosing and mixing alginate or silicone alternatives
  • Reinforcing with plaster bandages and support shells
  • Safe removal and initial inspection of moulds
  • Learning about the materials we can and will cast into the moulds (depends on the purpose)
Day 2:
  • Preparing and casting from your mould
  • Demoulding and retouching
  • Surface finishing and sealing techniques
  • Mounting and display options (wall-mounted or freestanding)
  • Recap on materials, suppliers, and alternative product options
Important Note:
This is a one-on-one course focused on completing a single project from start to finish. It is essential to contact the teacher in advance to arrange a suitable model and confirm that all desired materials will be available.
Maximum of two participants per session. Please get in touch to discuss your project and schedule.
What you'll get
  • All casting materials (alginate/silicone, plaster bandage, casting stone and or resin)

Hi, I'm Irina.
I like to introduce myself as a sculptor, although I'm engaged in different art disciplines too. I have never had another profession, nor have I wanted one. I fell in love with three-dimensional art at a very early age which came to me naturally, as I was born in a family of artists. It was the world I've grown up in, a measure of value around me.
I have graduated from Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and with a bit of luck, I had a chance to work internationally and gain great experience in different industries and media. Cooperating with professionals from other creative fields has perfectioned my skills and broadened the views of my artistic expression.
I have tried to gather all the projects I am engaged in on this website, showcase it, sell and teach my art. Always open for the new projects with fellow creatives, just get in touch.
