Abbie Matthews

Hello, I’m Abbie — an artist and educator based in regional Victoria. My practice spans drawing, painting & printmaking. I love to create workshops that invite people to engage with art in fresh and unexpected ways. From bold, hand-painted earrings to collages and expressive watercolours, my sessions are designed to be creative, fun and relaxing.I’m passionate about teaching because it allows me to share not only skills, but the confidence and joy that come from making something by hand. I’ve taught in schools, galleries and cultural institutions including The Art Gallery of Ballarat and Heide Museum of Modern Art. I love to share my passion for art and look forward to seeing you at one of my workshops.
