Influenced by her classical Italian education in architecture, her work explores the spiritual, physical, and emotional connections between humanity and nature. Through abstraction, she uses rich textures, bold colors, and dynamic compositions in oil, acrylic, and mixed media to explore vitality, transformation, and the fluidity of self. Her paintings aim to create an emotional and aesthetic experience, addressing cultural memory, environmental issues, and spirituality. Born in Rome and now based in Sydney, Gaia Starace has exhibited in Australia and internationally.
