  • 5/5 from Moni Theam, attended Feb 2020: What a fantastic experience! Lots of fun and laughs, lovely people, relaxed and welcoming environment as well as excellent skills taught. The classes were always interesting, dynamic and fast-paced. As a beginner, I was on occasion challenged beyond my comfort zone but in a positive and supportive way - great for developing self-confidence and learning how to think quickly on your feet. Thank you John!
  • 5/5 from Devina Bedford, attended Feb 2020: After a mere four lessons with John Samaha I feel ready to progress with my acting in various fields. The classes were small enough to receive valuable attention, but also large enough to try scenes with different partners, a valuable lesson in itself. John really is the most wonderful acting teacher. He is informative, incredibly funny, and kept us on our toes, inviting us to explore all facets of the acting world. He brought out any natural ability we had and offered us the confidence to perform with other actors as though we had known them all our lives. We were taught clear, specific and concise objectives, how to ignore the camera and not be conscious of others in the room. He showed us how to design a thought to create a feeling, therefore creating the behaviour of the character we were playing. I particularly enjoyed the exercise where we started at the end and went back in time to an earlier scene, then forward to the middle of our relationship with the other character. It really set the stage for a believable scenario. Apart from the lessons, the atmosphere of the class was friendly, inclusive, non judgemental, and did I say fun? Yes!
  • 5/5 from Cher Salmon, attended Feb 2020: The teacher has long-term experience in the theatre & TV industry & provided lots of helpful tips & insights, while helping us relax into trying new techniques. • 5/5 from Norak Theam, attended Feb 2020: Awesome acting workshop, even for a newbie like me. John is an amazing teacher and communicator. He is somehow able to get his students to surprise themselves. All conducted in a welcoming, non-judgemental atmosphere, that encourages expession and exploration. A great way to meet me people and stretch yourself.
  • 5/5 from Maryam Ghaeni, attended Feb 2020: John is a fabulous teacher with the ability to dramatically change the quality of performances with simple, easy to understand instructions; performances become more believable within minutes. The venue was comfortable and the lights and camera gave it the sense of a set. I would highly recommend it for beginner and professional actors, directors, and public speaker; anyone who wants to get out of their comfort zone.

I work in the corporate sector and the skills that I've learnt from the classes have been invaluable for my presentations and public speaking. The classes were so much fun and I enjoyed the sense of Discovery that they gave me.
  • 5/5 from Elena Marguleva, attended Feb 2020: What was the teacher like? John is highly skilled and experienced theatre tutor with excellent sense of humour. How was the venue? We had classes in the well chosen space with chairs, sofas, professional lighting, cameras and relevant acting materials. If materials were provided, did you like them? Great choice of materials and acting technics. I liked themes that we were given. Was the class good value for money? What did you do / learn? We played our parts from scatch and after we were explained how to empathise parts of the dialogue. How to relate to the person in front of us. How to be involved. How to live through the situation and make it believable.
