Explore the soothing world of air-dry clay using 1 pound of clay and all the tools you need. Make an incense holder, ring dish, trinket tray, mini sculpture—anything your imagination dreams up. This beginner-friendly craft class is fully self-guided, with guidance available whenever needed. Take your finished piece home the same day to dry and decorate.
You can also paint and glaze the pots here. You will just need to wait for the clay to dry for a few hours, i.e., whilst you pop to lunch or go for a swim.

  • 5/5 from Amelie Fletcher, attended Sep 2026: I really liked that it was the option of just going with the flow and letting your own creative juices take charge, or you could seek assistance from very kind and very helpful professionals
  • 5/5 from Zain Ballesty, attended Apr 2026: It was really good thoroughly enjoy Going back to paint
  • 5/5 from Julia Carpio, attended Apr 2026: The sculpting wass easy to do, the teacher gave us clear instructions on how to start.
  • 5/5 from Naavya Thapa, attended Feb 2026: It was a very fun and easy activity to do with my partner. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed. The good part is we can come back to paint the sculptures free of cost next time we're in Manly.
  • 5/5 from Camilla Leong, attended Dec 2025: This activity took me a while to do, as I didn’t exactly know what shapes I wanted. The teacher gave me a book with shapes and designs I might like? In the end I made a heart shaped candle holder and a clam shell with a pearl inside. Had a great and relaxing afternoon here.
  • 5/5 from Howard Reid, attended Dec 2025: The material came out quickly when we arrived, a quick tour of possible projects in the studio and simple explanations and we were into it. This was my first attempt at pottery, having been to a boys’ high school where it was a choice of gender-based trade skills, metal work, woodwork etc. The type of clay used where we did not need to throw it was good and coffee was offered during the time. I enjoyed it immensely.

Hi, I’m Imogen — the founder of Craft & Soul, a cosy creative studio where people come to slow down, unwind, and explore art in a way that feels completely their own.
My background is actually far from the traditional “art teacher” path — I spent years working with creative technology and running creative events at work. Through all that high-energy, fast-paced work, creativity became my anchor. Making art was where I found calm, presence, and a sense of freedom.
Over time, I realised that not everyone wants formal art classes — many people just want a welcoming space, inspiring materials, and permission to play. That’s exactly what I built Craft & Soul for. Here, you choose your project, set your own pace, and let your creativity unfold naturally. My role is to curate the experience: beautiful materials, cosy ambience, helpful guidance when you need it, and a supportive space where you can just be yourself.
What I love most is watching people surprise themselves — seeing someone who hasn’t touched a paintbrush or clay since school completely light up when they realise how good it feels to make again. You don’t have to be “artistic” to belong here; you just have to be curious.
Craft & Soul is as much about wellbeing as it is about creativity. Whether you’re sculpting, stitching, painting, or simply taking a moment to breathe, my mission is to help you reconnect with that quiet, playful part of yourself that our busy lives often push aside.
I can’t wait to welcome you into the studio and give you the space, tools, and encouragement to create something completely your own.
