What you'll do

You will be guided step-by-step through the entire process, from drawing a portrait of your choice, while we pay attention to the style of Art Nouveau artworks to render beautiful botanical ornamentation surrounding the portrait.

We will cover arranging the composition, blocking out the shapes of the face, rendering form and working with one-directional shadows to bring the portrait to life on paper. We will simplify rendering the delicate lines and organic shapes that characterise this captivating art style.

Immerse yourself in the rich history and symbolism of Art Nouveau. Discover how this art form has influenced cultures and artists worldwide, and let it inspire your own creations.

A variety of reference images of portraits and botanicals will be available for you to draw inspiration from, ensuring each drawing is a unique work of art.
