Mabes is an Abstract fluid artist & educator based in NSW, Australia.

Her abstract fluid artworks are based on her love of nature and colours. In this form of art, each painting is carefully designed and constructed. A special pouring medium is mixed with acrylic paint which allows the paint to move freely across the canvas to create unique and interesting patterns. This form of art is loved by the artist because of the uniqueness of each painting and the improvisation and technical skills that is required for creating each piece of artwork. She also finds the process of making each painting therapeutic as the paint flow across the canvas or panels. She hopes to bring a sense of joy and calmness to the viewers with her artworks.

Having taught adults and children for many years, Mabes is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with her students. It is her joy in seeing her students have a lightbulb moment and have fun while learning.

An enjoyable afternoon trying out 2 different styles/techniques of acrylic paint pouring. Results similar to the promo. The teacher was able to assist and did 2 demos so students could then try out themselves. Nice premises and on a bus route from City/Meadowbank as well as ample street parking for those who choose to drive.

Venue was excellent with plenty of windows for good natural light. It was clean and spacious. Some more shelving might be beneficial rather than placing our works of art on the floor.
Teacher spoke clearly and gave each person plenty of time, we were all beginners.
I would recommend this class to others wanting to learn the Art of Acrylic Pouring.

The class included all materials and my daughter went home with two beautiful artworks. Advice and support was plentiful and we were given enough information at the class to allow us to confidently have a go at home in the future.

My son thoroughly enjoyed the class. The teacher was very good at explaining the techniques and she kindly gave equal amounts of assistance to every participant. All equipment was provided and the final canvasses were amazing. Thank you for such a great workshop!
