- Create and fit a stone setting, choosing from:
- Construct an appropriate shank or framework to suit your design
- Learn essential soldering techniques for jewellery fabrication
- Prepare pieces for polishing, including surface finishing
- Set stones securely and complete final polishing to a professional standard

What you'll get
- Take home one or more completed sterling silver jewellery pieces
- You will be provided with metal and any stones required for your piece. The Centre will also provide safety glasses if required.
- A Certificate of Completion.
- A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please inform our team if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements for the day.
- Coffee and tea will also be available.
Knowledge required
Basic jewellery knowledge is helpful but not essential. The course is suitable for motivated beginners with good hand skills and an interest in making.
What to bring
Students are to bring their own hand tools. A complete list of what is needed on the day will be sent to you prior to your class date. You can also bring your own jeweller's apron.
