It's time to get your glam on! Come and bring the kids into Workshop POP for an hour of creative craft play, perfect if you're searching for fun things to do these school holidays in Canberra.
In this one-hour workshop, your kids will have a wonderful experience making one to two pieces of beaded jewellery, either a necklace or bracelet. There will be time to make one or two pieces of beaded jewellery from an array of acrylic, shell, wooden and glass beads. Your kids will learn how to use crimping beads and attach clasps.
This workshop, led by Leah Bartsch of Dressed for Sunday and Craft Make Do, is suitable for both kids and adults. Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
Ticket price includes supplies to create up to two pieces of jewellery. If the supervising adult wishes to make their own jewellery pieces, they must purchase an additional ticket.

This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 5 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

I’m Leah and I’m a maker, creator, tinker and I like to think, curious problem solver! Basically I just like to make things, try new techniques and materials and discover what’s possible.
I’m the face behind Dressed for Sunday, a vintage inspired jewellery and suit accessories brand, and Craft Make Do which is all about you harnessing your creativity and learning new skills through workshops and craft kits.
I’m entirely self-taught and I’ve tried different crafty pursuits from a young age. I grew up watching my mum and my grandmother sew and craft, so it feels natural that I continue the tradition! One of the first things I learnt was cross stitch and long stitch, and later I progressed into sewing, including clothes, and jewellery making.
Workshop POP by POP Canberra is an inclusive community space, where locals can connect over creativity, knowledge and social engagement. Workshop POP hosts regular unique, fun and spontaneous workshops and events. Think hands-on crafty courses, food and beverage tastings and skill-sharing events to support you in life and business!
