Transform your broken pottery into stunning, one-of-a-kind masterpieces with our Modern Kintsugi Kit, lovingly curated by Be-Ras Creatives Art Cafe. Rooted in the ancient Japanese philosophy of embracing flaws, this beginner-friendly set provides all the tools you need to mend chipped or broken ceramics using a beautiful, gleaming gold finish. Whether you’re upcycling a beloved but damaged mug or creating a striking abstract piece, this meditative craft helps you celebrate the beauty in imperfection. Perfect for a mindful weekend project, a thoughtful gift, an anniversary gift, a birthday gift, or a solo date. Suitable for adults and kids (minimum age 15 years). An adult must be present while the kid(s) engage with the box. This experience would also be a cool gift for her, gift for mum, or gift for couples.
Why You’ll Love It:
  • Beginner-friendly: No prior pottery or crafting experience required.
  • Sustainable & Mindful: Breathe new life into broken items instead of throwing them away.
  • The Be-Ras Touch: Capture the calming, creative atmosphere of our Docklands cafe right in your own living room.
Please Note:
  • Not recommended for pregnant participants due to the use of epoxy glue and mica gold dust.
  • This kit is suitable for adults, and participants aged 15 and above can join with an adult. An adult needs to be present to accompany the kids during the workshop due to the use of broken crockery.
  • Please keep in mind that modern kintsugi is not food safe due to the use of epoxy adhesive, so it is not suitable for the repair of cooking or eating utensils.
  • Please allow some extra time after finishing in case you want your bowl to set properly. Please keep in mind that Kintsugi is about patience, and it takes time for the epoxy to set. The tray will set completely in 24 hours.

Rashmi is an architect turned crafter and small business owner with a vibrant cafe in the Docklands. She is someone who loves art and learning something new every day. Her journey to becoming an artist started with one art project at a time. She started making Kokedama’s and polymer clay earrings for a bit of fun. She loved it so much that she gifted a lot to her friends and which birthed her enthusiasm for handmade things. Soon they started making them together, and they all loved them so much that we decided to share the art with more people.
Creating something handmade is a fun process with lots of laughter and good coffee. You make new friends who love plants and art as much as you do.
